Capacity Building

  1. Organized one National Workshop, five district target group workshops on Biotechnology for Sustainable Agricultural Development in collaboration with Biotechnology Unit, (A.P. Netherlands Biotechnology Programme), I.P.E., Hyderabad.

  2. Organized two training programmes for Non-Government Organizations (NGO’s) representatives on preparation of micro plans through village level participatory approach for integrated rural development and project formulation sponsored by CAPART, GOI. About 80 participants were trained in the programme and they are being periodically monitored and guided by PRDIS.

  3. Conducted 24 training programmes on Agri-clinics and Agri-business Centres for unemployed agricultural graduates. These training programmes are sponsored by Small Farmer Agri-business Consortium (SFAC), New Delhi through MANAGE, Hyderabad. The duration of these training programmes were two months each.

  4. Organized two workshops and training programme on Value addition of fruits and vegetables, sponsored by CAPART GOI.

  5. We had the proud privilege to organize a stakeholder consultative workshop with other partners on outreach of institutional credit and cooperative reforms at Mahabubnagar during September 2006, for which our President is instrumental being a member of a sub-group of Planning Commission of India.

  6. A two-days workshop on 'orientation of CAPART Guidelines and Issues Relating to Project Formulation and Maintenance of Accounts', was organized by PRDIS at its Training Centre, Kismatpur, Rangareddy district, for the selected Voluntary Organizations in the districts of Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar.

  7. Completed 6 months training programme for 185 Rural Young Professionals, sponsored by CAPART, GOI.

  8. Capacity building activities were undertaken with farmers, NGOs and Input agencies on sustainable agricultural interventions and supply chain management.

  9. Promoted Agribusiness Entrepreneur development activities by building capacity of unemployed Agricultural graduates and Rural Young Professionals.

  10. Organized training of Facilitators programme and farmer Field Schools on sustainable sugarcane interventions under pesticide free environment in collaboration with WHO, ANGR Agricultural University, NIPHM and Sugar Industries.
